Citizenship and travel

Hi

I would like what are your thoughts are on below.

I am planning to apply for my US Citizenship but want to travel to India for 2-3 weeks.

1) Will I wait till I come back from India and then apply my US Citizenship?

2) OR it will not be a problem as its only 2-3 weeks trip?

Unless you are cutting it really close with the requirements, e.g., the physical presence requirement, there is no problem.
