Beallyoucanbe
My husband and I are legally married but not in touch. Can I apply for and get a H4 visa, without having to contact him and get details from him? Earlier I had an H4 as his dependent, and I got an H1 when I started to work. His passport number and employer have changed in the meantime. Link to comment
JoeF
You need to have the current data from him for an H4. Link to comment

Attorney_25
You will also need to prove he is maintaining his H-1B status for H-4 approval. I recommend reviewing other options, such as B-2, with a qualified immigration attorney. Link to comment
binoca82
You need to provide proofs for his H1 status, like H1 petition approval, pay stubs, w2s/tax returns etc. If you cannot get it from him, H4 may be difficult. Link to comment
