All my documentation is fine except last year W2 on which my company name is partially wrong. the first half is correct and the second half is incorrect. When I requested for a new W2, my employer said it would take long time as they initially registered the company name with the one shown on W2 and they changed it everywhere but not with IRS. However, they initiated this process couple of weeks back. My employer gave me hand written W2 but they are not looking official. They also wanted to give an error explaining letter. How safe is it for me now to go for the stamping? All my pay stubs and I797 shows correct name. Please reply. Need help - Ri Link to comment
