Louisville79
I was Jus going thru my DS 160 form. And i answered one of the questions wrong. Question : Have you ever been refused a US visa, been refused admission to the united states, or withdrawn your application for admission at the port of entry ? I answered NO. But now I remember that during my first F1 visa interview i was not granted visa but Issued on 2nd interview. The DS 160 has already been submitted and my appointment has been booked. What shud i Do ? Link to comment

Jaguar09
As far as my knowledge you need to fill the form again and update the DS number in your interview confirmation page... fill out the form with care this time..... After Submission of DS Form: Once you submit the DS-160 form you cant update any field in that. Instead you can create a new application again in this website ( https://ceac.state.g...IV/default.aspx ) and Update this new DS-160 number in this website ( http://usvisa-info.c...lfservice/login ) where you have booked your appointment date. Once you logged in in the Primary Applicant details, Click on Edit beside your name and there you can change the newDS160 number and save it and it will update in the Consulate. You can update and submit the DS160 form or any fields ( H1 b reciept date, H1 reciept number, your name, DS160 number, phone number, etc..) 48hrs before your interview. Link to comment
Attorney_25
Was the approval of the F-1 based on the same visa application that was originally denied? Link to comment
Louisville79
Was the approval of the F-1 based on the same visa application that was originally denied? Thank you for ur input. Yes as far as i can remember it was the same F-1 base visa application. Link to comment
Attorney_25
In fact even you are eventually approved for the visa, a delay in issuing the visa where the consul enters a "221g" in your database record will be considered a denial such that you must report it on the DS-160 and provide an explanation. So, yes, you should resubmit the DS-160. Link to comment
