thinkpad Posted February 2, 2013 Report Posted February 2, 2013 Can I travel internationally while H1B Visa is getting transferred? I am moving from company A to B and my H1B visa is under transfer. I have not resigned yet as my new H1B is not yet approved. Company A is sending me out of country on a project for 1 week ...will i be safe and be allowed back coming in back to the US?
binoca82 Posted February 8, 2013 Report Posted February 8, 2013 Well, you can travel. But, in most cases it is seen that the new H1 may get approved for consular processing, without an I94. Because, when you leave US, you need to surrender the I94 and you are abandoning the I94 you are seeking to transfer/extend.
