clarke42
Hello All, I am sorry if I have posted this in wrong forums. I wasn't sure where to post this and hence posting it here. Currently I'm in F1 status (student visa). Right now I'm in my second semester. I am going to India for my marriage. I am planning my India trip for more than a month (approx 35 days). As per the rules we can't stay outside USA for more than 21 days during a semester. Could you please provide me some lite on this issue. My port of entry is at San Francisco. Will there be any questions/issues at the port of entry? If so, can I get through easily by stating that I went for my marriage by providing my marriage certificate? Please suggest me some valid reasons at the time of port of entry. Thanks Babu. Link to comment
t75
You are expected to actually ATTEND classes and appear for work if you have an assistantship. You should have timed your marriage trip better. You have problems not only with immigration but also your profs. Link to comment
