I am currently on OPT and my OPT end date is April 01 2013. My employer will be applying for my H1B on April 1st. Can some one tell me if I am will be eligible for CAPGAP ?

Yes, you are .But can't work till Oct1st.

You enter a 60 days grace period after your OPT expiry date. If the employer is filing your H-1B petition and it is received by USCIS after your post-completion OPT expires but during your 60 day grace period following OPT, your F-1 status and permission to remain in the US are extended but you are not eligible to work.
