Roshini9 Posted January 29, 2013 Report Posted January 29, 2013 Hi All, Lets say someone lost the job at the client side, but still have a valid H1B with an employer, can they still go to India? Can they stay for 2 or more months? Will they have any issues at POC while coming back? Please advice. Thx, Rosh
Roshini9 Posted January 29, 2013 Author Report Posted January 29, 2013 There might be issues while coming back at POE if they ask you questions about your Client. Ok.. do they usually ask about the client while coming back? What if I get a job from a different client and then come back to the U.S? Thx, Rosh
rangadu Posted January 29, 2013 Report Posted January 29, 2013 If you have a valid 797 and stamped visa, detailed checks about client at the POE are rare. But there is a chance that one might ask if you currently have a project and where. When these questions come up, if you are in a situation with no project and you have to lie about it, and God forbid you do, that will open up a whole new Pandora's box. Ideally, you should find another project, file an amendment and then take your vacation upon approval. Which, unfortunately, is impractical in most cases.
potluri040 Posted January 30, 2013 Report Posted January 30, 2013 if you have a valid visa, the question abt client and job location shd not be there....these questions are very rare but keep yourself ready with some answers.
