First time H1B stamping

Hi All,

I came to U.S on F1 in 2005

I started my H1B in 2009 and I am on second term of H1B

I don't have previous stamping on H1B

I am travelling out of country for the first time in 7 years.

Can I get my stamping done in Canada or do I have to go to India?

Hey did any F1 to H1B first timers went to Canada recently? My friend says now even people with masters have to go to home country? I emailed the consulate people but got a reply as they don't answer such question?
