They may allow you to enter without making any trouble. 2. They might allow into US but give you 30 days time frame to get stamped. 3. They might ask you to go back to India and get stamped. This is not true. If you have a valid visa on your passport and an approved I797, you can enter the country without any issues. Link to comment

No that's not true. A person can enter into US with the valid visa, if entering with same status. At POE they need a valid visa to enter, that's it. If person changes his status then he needs new visa stamp. Link to comment
