SJAISWAL973 Posted January 28, 2013 Report Share Posted January 28, 2013 All, I am in a very peculiar position with regards to my H1B. Appreciate if the experts can provide their thoughts.... My current H1B expires on April 12 2013 which is a Friday. I have got approval for my H1B renewal but that starts from April 15 2013 with the same company, which is a Monday. My questiions are: 1. If I stay in US on April 13 and April 14th, will I be out of status for those 2 days. 2. Do I need to leave US before April 12, get a visa from a US Consulate and need to re-enter US 3. Should I request my lawyer for filing an amendment or something like that. 4.Do I have any other options or I am thinking too much. Meanwhile, with all this, my wife got her H4 visa which is valid from April 13 2013. Does this situation mean anything to our cases. Thanks Link to comment
