Lost Job while on OPT

Hello,

I am on OPT and I lost my job last week. Even though my last working day was 25 Jan 2013, I ll be on payroll (severance pay) for 2 more months (say till March 22). Can you please tell me whether the 90 day unemployment period start after March 22 or has it started already on Jan 25? When should I inform the international immigration services at my university? What should I specify as the last date of employment when I talk to them?

You should report to the DSO. You last working day is just that. You are now unemployed in spite of receiving severance (a very generous one at that).
