L1B Bench - urgent

Hi,

I'm on L1B visa working for a client for 2 yrs, my visa is still valid. Now I'm in bench and my wife is 32nd week of pregnancy, doctor had certified that she cannot travel by air/sea/land nowonwards. If my employer doesn't want to pay my salary during bench period or until I get assigned to new project, am I legally allowed to stay until I get into another project? what will be the status of my insurance coverage?

He can send you home. Your wife's condition is not his concern; your insurance may have medevac coverage to handle this situation. (I cannot believe that the doctor said she cannot travel by "land" as she would not be able to go to his office. This sounds suspicious.)

You need to pay insurance premiums even if he does not pay you to keep insurance in force while you work on the rest of the problem.)
