sulekhauser
Hello, I see that this question in a couple of different forms has been asked in this forum lately. But, since this is a different scenario, I still want to ask to get any and all help. My first year of H-1B is due to end April 30th, 2013. So, my current employer is filing for an extension this week. However, I am also looking out for other opportunities and I am hopeful that something will work out soon. My question is, Is it OK for a new employer to initiate my H-1B transfer while my current employer has put in an application for extension? My current employer hasn't filed in premium so I don't have a definite timeframe. Thank you! Link to comment
beckettsamuel1
It depends upon the employers decision. If your current employer decides not to use their visa for some other company means, they can cancel your visa..Better you ask your new employer to apply for the new one after you cancelling the old one..
