L2 to H4 COS delay and India Travel

My Visa status changed from L1 to H1 starting Oct 2012. My company applied for my wife's L2 to H4 Change of status with 1-539 receipt date on Oct 31 on USCIS Site. It is close to 3 months with the case status as initial review. Question: 1) Her case is with California Center, I see the usual processing time as 2.5 months, Do I need to worry on the delay ? 2) Wife is planning for India Trip mid March, with COS and expired L2/I-94 would it be a problem ? 3) I understand she needs to get H4 stamping if COS is approved while she returns, But if COS is still pending in March. Can she go for a new H4 or need to wit until COS is approved ? thanks for the help. - Kiran
