Incorrect DS160 number in the appointment. Please help

Hi Team.

I submitted a DS 160 on Dec first week 2012. My role in that is Programmer Analyst. Later my company said we would need to file a new LCA as per your new role hence they canclled my visa appointment and filed a new LCA. Now I submitted a new DS160 with new role as per LCA as Technology Lead. But the Visa appointment was booked with old CEAC confirmation number. When I asked they suggested me to carry both DS160s / Ask at OFC to make the correction. There is no salary difference in the old role and new role. My concern if the VO ask why u have submitted two DS160s then can I say because of role change ? But does he expects any salary change along with role change ? and my duties are also going to be same with the new role.. please advise. I have stamping due next week. Kindly advise asap.., can I continue with the Old DS160 or at OFC can I ask them make the change( is it permitted ?)

actually u can change it. Please create a new DS 160 and go to your appointment website and click on edit. then u can enter the new DS 160 number. For instructions please visit rebbus2us.com website they have step by step instructions.
