After H1b approval how much time allowed to start working on project?

I got my H1b approved .But my employer is not able to put me on project for next 1 month.I am already in US on valid visa.

How much time is allowed to start working on a project after H1 approval?Is it possible to have a later start date after H1b approval?Does it cause any out of status issue?
