OPT validation if H1 gets rejected

Hello guys,

I willl be on OPTfor one year starting from May 2013. my question was if an employer files my H1 in april and if its not approved , will my OPT be still valid for the rest of the year??

is there any documentation needed to be done if the H1 gets rejected???

I guess you can work till your OPT expiration day, but I am not sure

If your H1 is rejected in worst case, you will be notified with reason why it's been rejected. Their is no documents needed after that.
