Hero_123 Posted January 22, 2013 Report Posted January 22, 2013 Hello Everyone, I have a strange question. Recently US consulate in India have started Interview waiver program for H1B renewal or for some other categories without interview. Check the link below http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/in-niv-visarenew.asp As per the new rules Repeat travelers to the United States may, under some circumstances, renew their visas without appearing at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate for an interview. I want to go to india this year and my H1b stamp has expired November 2012 and I have got my H1 extended till 2015. I am on EVC model and have the client letter . Please guys considering all the important aspects , do you think it is worth going to India and get it restamped (as per new interview waiver program) or still canada is better. Does anyone has any recent experience with Interview waiver program in India ? Please post your experiences. So the question is Attend Interview waiver program in India or still Canada is much better / Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
streamlanes Posted January 22, 2013 Report Posted January 22, 2013 Pls check my concern on a different thread
pinusa Posted January 22, 2013 Report Posted January 22, 2013 This new program looks like a time saver. If qualified and have proper documentation, this program is a good option in India, but I couldn't find any success stories online forums. I personally feel, better wait for the new system to be matured enough before taking chances.
tusharvk Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 if you are going to india anyway, why do you want to spend more money in a trip to canada. It will be very cold there for a few months.
majjarapu7 Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 Hello, I have the same question, i have been to india before for stamping.. and its my 8 year extension.. does this waiver program apply for me.
hawkeye13 Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 I believe In india 221g resolutions are slower than what it appears to be in Canada
