L2 - EAD(visa expired,I94 valid)going back to india.can continue job ?

Hi,

I am in a very urgent situation. Please reply as soon as possible. My husband was working for some client here on L1B blanket visa which has already expired in March'2012. I've got L2-EAD and working with a company in New York as a permanent employee.

My husband's contract with this client has ended on 15th Jan and the employer of him has given us a 10 days period to wrap things up and go back to India. We have leave the country on 27th jan.

My question is -

Is there anyway I can still continue my job even from India ? They allow working remotely but I am not sure after leaving the country can I still be on US payroll or my company can arrange a Indian payroll for me ?

As your visa situation, you can't work/run payroll when you move out of country however you can arrange Indian payroll as that mean you are under employee of indian firm.

You will not be on L2 but you may continue to work if the employer permits it. Be sure you have a good tax advisor.
