Hi Guys,

Need help badly. I was in F1 student visa earlier and then got H1B transfer later on. I have a valid I-94 with me. What are the chances of me getting stamping done in Canada?? I am an accountant.

Also, if they do not give me stamping can I still come back to US based on valid I-94 or no ?

Please help.

If I get stamping done in Canada successfully, can I go to India and come back without any issues ?

Thanks - Mitul

If you are transferring from f1->h1b, it may not be an issue. However, there could be other issues (evc model and related to that. please read murthy bulletin and murthy forum for details).

At the border poe to canada, you should surrender your i94 since you are going for visa stamping. They also may take the i94 at the consulate you visit if for some reason not at the border. Without valid visa, you may not re-enter US with i-94 alone.

If you are citizen of india, you can visit india any time.
