osr2010 Posted January 22, 2013 Report Posted January 22, 2013 Can H1B visa holders own a sole proprietorship while working full time for another employer?
wiweq Posted January 22, 2013 Report Posted January 22, 2013 May be this doesn't answer you question but an H1b employee cannot earn any active money from other than his/ her employer who filed H1b for him/ her. Active money means earned by some kind of active work.
JoeF Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 On H1, you can only be a passive investor. That means putting money into a business and otherwise staying out of it. That doesn't work with a sole proprietorship.
