H1B and study

Hi,

I completed my undergraduate studies and now I am doing my Masters. I have a job offer who will also file my H1B on 1st April. I have following questions

1. If my H1B is filed through expedited process, how long does it take to get the approval or denial notice?

2. If it is approved, can I work immediately or will I have to wait till Oct 1st?

3. If it is approved, can I still carry on to study? I want to complete my masters too while working.

1. 15 calendar days. 2. If it's F1to (first) H1b COS, you need wait till Oct 1 to start working on H1b. 3. Yes, on H1b you can study too; even parttime.

3. Yes you can. But you have inform your COS to the school DSO.

Unless you are a continuation H-1B, you may NOT begin work on H-1b until Oct 1. You may study while working. Your university needs to be advises so they can adjust your fees accordingly.

Since there is a 6 month delay before working, PP is a waste of money
