L1B to H1B conversion denied...L1B Expired but have a valid I-94

Hi,

My L1B visa got expired on Oct 2012. My I-94 is valid till 2014. My emloyer filed L1B to H1B conversion in May 2012 and I got deined notification 2 days back.

Question:

Is it legal to stay and work in USA with my current I-94?

As long as you have a valid I-94 for your L1B, you may work. What was the reason for the denial? It may affect you if you apply with another employer in the future.
