F1struggle
I know that e can work upto 40 hours during the Summer and winter break. This is officially the winter break going on for me. So do I need any special permission from my F-1 office to ork 40 hours or Can I just continue? Also, can I take up another job too? Ofcourse, I know that I need authorization for the second job. catx
You should not need special permission to go from 20 hours / week (maximum) to 40 hours / week (maximum) during semester breaks. The weeks and their hours are checked against the school calendar. If the week is during the break then there is no issue if you worked up to 40 hours. Of course, all F-1 employment has to be on-campus job(s). Link to comment
fishaq
You can work for 40 hours but it is better that you have DSO approval in written form. It will be an official USCIS form but a normal university letter head would do it. Link to comment
