Canadian Visa questions for H1B stamping

Hi All,

Could some one please answer the below questions please?

1). Is it the Temporary resident Visa (TRV) we should be getting?

2). How many days minimum before the H1B appointment should we have applied or got the visa?

3). How long does it take in person or by mail? Which consulate is faster?

Canadian visiting visa is no way related to your H1B appointment.

Yes it is temporary resident/visitor visa

Do it 1-2 months before H1B appointment

From Jan 7 they send passport back only by mail and you need to take envelope with necessary postage stamp

Thanks guys but um.. Rahul says Canadian visitor visa is no way related to H1B appointment but Shashi says to do it 1 to 2 months before.. which one is correct? Also if I go in person, will I be able to get it approved same day or do I have to wait? Which consulate is faster?
