brianjonk
Hello. Can anyone tell me if there are any minimum income requirements for the US Citizen who is sponsoring their spouse for permanent residency? I read somewhere that they need to have a certain minumum income to show that they can support their spouse. The reason I ask is that we are getting ready to file my I-130 and 485 and are gathering all the necessary documents and preparing for the eventual interview. My spouse (who is a US Citizen) is not working since she is currently school and will be for the next two years. I am currently supporting the two of us. If indeed there are such requirements, is there any way around it since I'm sure this might be a fairly common situation? I appreciate any information on this ... Link to comment
