maximum Posted January 5, 2013 Report Share Posted January 5, 2013 Dear Madam/Sir, Hope you are doing well. I have graduated with a Master’s degree in engineering in 2010. Currently I am on my 2nd OPT and planning to file for H-1 this year. My new employer who will be sponsoring me for H-1 this April, 2013 is not E-verified and wants me to work for his company on a full time basis. Is it possible for me to work for him with my current status ? What other options do I have if I have to join him ? Is it possible for me to get a CPT from a university at this time? will there be any risks involved? Please let me know your opinion so that I can make a firm decision. t75 Posted January 6, 2013 Report Share Posted January 6, 2013 He can get e-verified if he wants to employ OPT-EXT individuals. CPT is NOT an appropriate option. You can 1. Continue to work for your current employer, 2. find a new e-verified employer, or 3. go home and come pack in Oct. Link to comment

Forget CPT. Cut that acronnym out of your vocabulary. Unless you have the wish to get deported, of course. Link to comment
