DS forms Question: H1B Stamping

Hello All,

I am travelling to Calgary on Jan 20th for my first H1B Stamping.I have filled out my DS forms and submitted them in October for Vancover consulate. I have later on changed my consulate to calgary in January. I have applied for H1B amendment and it was originally approved till Sep 2015 and I have used these details while filling the DS forms for the first time. Lateron my employer said that USCIS gave a longer duration than expected on my H1B Amendment and requested a new copy which arrived from USCIS with expiration till sep 2014.

Please let me know if there is a way to edit the submitted DS forms or Do I need to refill them again with new H1B expiration details and consulate details.

If you submit your DS forms to consulate, there is no way to update them. So, the only alternative solution is to create a new DS form and update that application ID in the Consulate website. You can do as many you want before you visit the consulate since everything is electronic.

Here are few things i

1. If you already submitted the DS160 form to consulate and want to update any details ( Consulate or any details ) in it, you cant do it. Instead you can create a new application in this website ( https://ceac.state.gov/GENNIV/Default.aspx ) and update this new DS160 number in this website ( https://usvisa-info.com/en-CA/.v )

2. If you just want to modify the H1B receipt dates ( to Sep 2015 ) or receipt number ( EAC or WAC ), you can go to this website ( https://usvisa-info.com/en-CA/.v ) where you booked your appointment date to Calgary and Goto Home page--> You will see your appointment details--> Click on Reschedule appointment--> and it will show your EAC or WAC number ( If you want to change only this change it and don't click submit after u change it click home )--> If its same dont change anything. click submit you will see your reciept dates ( here you can modify the dates from sep 14th to sep 15th ) after that dont click submit, click home again.

You can modify anything in the application( H1 receipt number, H1 applied date, reciept date and name address DS160 application number anything (except passport number and DOB ) in this website http://usvisa-info.c...A/selfservice/p. 48 hrs before you go to interview.

I wanted to know if an H1-B amendment comes with a new EAC number? If that's the case, I have paid my fees with the old EAC number. Would I need to refill DS-160, pay the fees on that and reschedule appointment?

No need to reschedule your appointment if you already have an appointment  , if you already submitted your DS 160, as you can't retrieve your form,  just fill a new DS 160 and submit that confirmation number with updated EAC/WAC petition number .you can change your DS 160 'n' number of times except few details like (passport , DOB)
