jasmine1986 Posted December 29, 2012 Report Posted December 29, 2012 My firend's L1 visa is expiring in Jan 2013 and his company has not filed the extension.But his i94 is valid till Dec 2014.Would there be any issues if he stays in US after Jan 2013 with valid I-94 ? Can he bring his parents in March with the expired L1 petition but valid I-94 ?

rohang Posted December 30, 2012 Report Posted December 30, 2012 Yes he can stay in US after jan 2013, but if he goes out of country after that then he won't be able to come back. I am hoping that Jan 13 is not end of his 5 yr limit, in that case he can't stay beyond that. His parents will be coming on tourist visa, I don't see any issue if they are sponsoring thr trip.
