Sudhakar0204 Posted December 29, 2012 Report Share Posted December 29, 2012 Hi Forum Members My I797 petition got approved on Dec 22nd, still the status is showing as 'Decision'. I understood that there will be another phase as 'post decision activity' where the USCIS will notify all the petition related information to the NIC (national information center) and eventually the PIMS gets updated with the same. How long it will take to get that updated to NIC? Can i attend the visa interview with out updating the 'post decision activity' status? Actually i am planning to attend the visa interview on 17th Jan. Please suggest.... Regards Sudhakar Link to comment

Generally, once the original H1B approval notice is received the beneficiary may apply for the visa at a U.S. consulate abroad. Delays for PIMS verification vary and generally only take a few days to be resolved. Link to comment
