H1B visa stamping for small consultancy

Hi,

I got a job as Contract to Hire where I have to work as a contractor (employee of consultancy) to client and after 6/12 months the client would hire me as an employee. My H1 transfer is in process.

I am planning to travel to India for my brother's marriage and I need to get VISA stamping done for myself and my wife as our visas in the passport are expired.

1) Is this EC model or EVC model? I am working directly under client and consultancy is paying me the salary.

2) I would like to know the potential chances of our visas getting rejected and also the what are the documents needed for VISA stamping.

3) In case if I am not travelling, if I don't get vacation leave, is it safe for my wife to go for stamping (H4) with I797 and I129 documents alone?

4) Since I am new employee of small consultancy (10 employees and mine is the first H1) what are the issues in H1 Visa stamping?
