Has anyone used IWP? Please update us how long does it take to get the passport back

I do have same question. One guy from Ahmadabad said he got it back in a week. I hope it should be sooner than that

I used the Interview waiver program (IWP)...I got back my passport with visa in exactly 6 business days...

here are my details...

My H1B visa expired in March 2012 and I am renewing the visa with the same company..

I scheduled for an appointment at Chennai OFC on 21st December; the whole process at the Chennai OFC took hardly 15 minutes; even though my appointment was scheduled at 10 they allowed me to get in around 9:15....and I was out by 9:30...After getting the fingerprinting and photo taken care of, I submitted the following documents (only copies, not originals) - I797, LCA, Employee letter....

I asked for my passport to be delivered at VJA Blue Dart...My passport status has been "Delivered To Post" until 27th December....On 28th, it changed to "Origination Scan" and then later "In Transit From Post"...I was able to pick up my passport in VJA on 31st Dec...

Aren't you eligible for drop box? I got my previous visa after 2008 so I am eligible for drop box.

Anyone know if appointment needed for drop box?

I don't remember the exact reason but I called the help desk while scheduling the appointment and they told me that I am not eligible for dropbox.

Now that I am reading the eligible criteria for dropbox, I don't see anything that makes me not-eligible...
