Hello Floks,

I have current h1b till jan 23rd 2013. I have applied extension got the new H1B valid from jan 24th 2013 - jan 22nd 2016. I have booked my us visa stamping date on jan 22nd 2013 @ calgary,canada.

question : since my new H1B starts from jan 24th 2013 am i eligible to go for stamping on jan 22nd 2013 (or) do i have to reschedule it. Please suggest me.

You are eligible and can go for stamping . Even I am in same situation ( H1b renewal starts from Feb 18th , going for stamping in Jan ) and spoke to my attorney , they said I can use the new h1b renewal receipt for stamping .
