vikram05 Posted December 26, 2012 Report Posted December 26, 2012 Guys, Can somebody have an idea about this issue. I had booked visa stamping date at Canada consulate based on my original I-797 receipt number and receipt date. As my company had filed H1-B amendment and it got approved so i have new I-797 receipt number/date, so do i have to update this new receipt date/receipt number on my CSC visa account?
kumarsb3 Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 i'm in same situation too and i've updated the new amendment receipt number in CSC visa account and also in the DS-160 form. Please reply if that is incorrect.
vikram05 Posted December 28, 2012 Author Report Posted December 28, 2012 @kumarsb3 - yes i think so we need to update the latest I-797 receipt number and receipt date. To change the receipt number/ receipt date do we need to click on 'Reschedule appointment'? Also while filing DS-160 when it will ask to upload a photo. Is it in the start of application or after we complete all our details? Thanks
kumarsb3 Posted December 28, 2012 Report Posted December 28, 2012 Steps to update your petition/receipt number in CSC visa account: 1. Click reschedule appointment Again it starts all over from the beginning i.e. selecting trip purpose. 2. Then, select the consulate location and loomis branch. 3. Click continue on family and applicant summary page. 4. On next page, you can change the petition number. 5. On next page, you can change the receipt date and notice date. 6. Next page displays the calendar dates and just go back to your account without selecting any appointment date here. Now, I-797 info should be saved and you can follow same process to make sure if its updated or not.
