Hello Everyone,

Already utilized OPT duration and enrolled in school with second master in same master's program in a different school. DSO at school adviced me I am not eligible for any OPT in same field.

I am graduating at the end of first quarter next year in MARCH.

How do I get work authorization? If I think to get H1B filed in April next year, How can I stay till OCT in country?

DSO at school adviced to enroll in third degree pprogram. I want to know more options? Please advice/suggestion, please.

You can file H1 in next april, but what will be your status from Graduation day to April 1st??

It’s not same field, it's level. For same 'level' of education, you can't get another OPT. e.g. if you do PhD or Bachelor, you will get another OPT.

Once you graduate in March next year you'll have 60 grace days to leave USA. On approval of H1b, you can renter in Sept 13 to start working from Oct 1st, 2013.

Thank you for reply, My DSO will issue me new I-20 once I receive the acknowldgement/ receipt of H1B application.
