nyc_indian Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 I just thought i'd post my recent visa stamping experience in Chennai. I originally entered the US on a J-1 visa and then changed status to F-1 and finally to H-1B. This was my first time back in 3 years and I was nervous as hell but luckily things went well. The following questions were asked of me.(I work as a full time employee of a large accounting firm) 1. What firm do you work for? 2. What office do you work for? 3. How long have you been working for your present employer. 4. Do you have an office in Chennai? 5. How many employees do you have in your Bangalore office?(Since I work more closely with the Bangalore office than Chennai) After these he said my visa was approved, and I paid Rs 300 while leave to get the passport shipped to my house via Blue Dart and I received my passport two days later. All in all a relatively painless process that I am glad to be done with and looking forward to all the travelling I can finally do now.
