Roshini9
Hi All, I came to the U.S in December 2005 on F1 status and now I am on H1B second term of 3 years. Since I came to the U.S, I haven't gone back to India even once. I am planning to go for stamping now. I can still get the stamping done at Canada right? Or do I have to go to India only? If I am allowed to go to Canada, are there chances that my stamping might get rejected because its my first time? Please advice Thanks Link to comment
thyagaraj81
You should be fine as long as your work permit is valid. But there were some instances where the visa stamping was given only for an year in canada, eventhough work permit was valid for 3 yrs. Only disadvantage then would be that the stamping would have to be done again, in case you have to travel out of US after visa expiry. Link to comment
metroguy
You can go to Canada for your h1b as you have already done your first visa stamping (F1) done back in 2005. My friend did it. Link to comment
