Do I need Photocopy of Valid Return Ticket and/or itinerary for Canadian TRV ?

Hi all,

For in-person Canadian TRV application at NYC, do I need photocopy of Valid Return ticket and/or itinerary ?

I have not booked the interview date for visa stamping in Canada yet.

This is mentioned in the check-list.

No you dont need Travel Itinerary.

You just have to mention Tentative dates on form

I applied for my TRV at NYC consulate. ALthough they never asked for the itinerary, I had a tentative itinerary from American Airlines. They allow to hold your itinirary for 24 hours without having to pay for it.

You don't need a return ticket. tell them You are not sure how much time will it take.

You can write a note on a piece of paper when you submit you package that you intent to travel by car. I submitted mine by mail to the detroit embassy and it was approved. I didn't provide any itenary. If you are taking a one-time visa, then you probably might need to give them an itinerary since you are being specific. *this worked for me so don't take my word for it.

On another note, my friend didn't even submit an itinerary when he submitted his application to the NY consulate and still received it so i don't believe they are considering it seriously.

The Travel VISA for Canada allows you to stay for a while, they are looking for tentative dates as others mentioned too. You don't need the itinerary they don't ask for one. I went to submit the form in person as well.
