srinima
HI All, I got below response when I asked the conulate to verify my PIMS. Please advice what are my options?? Thank you for your email. Unfortunately your petition has not been validated in PIMS. As we cannot pre-adjudicate a visa application, we are unable to provide further guidance until you formally apply for the visa, at which time you will be given the opportunity to discuss your application with a Consular Officer. Please let me know what I can do in order to update my PIMS.. Thanks! Srinima Link to comment

zoom123
Srinima, This is a standard reply from them. What you can do is send your information to PIMS@state.gov at least a week before your appointment date. This would help. When is your appointment date? Link to comment
ramkashyap
I had a similar question few months ago when I appeared for an interview in Ottawa, Canada. I called the consulate and some one was nice enough to explain. They said there is no such process to verify your petition in PIMS these days (it used to be in the past). As per the person, I was told that the consulate tries to validate all applicants appearing for interviews in the next 1 week based on the DS 160s being submitted. That said, for you to be in a hassle free situation try to submit your DS 160 at least 10 days before your interview. Also contact the attorney who filed your H1B if they can help you.
