vishelp123
Hi, My L1b visa and I94 are expiring on Jan 2013. My wife is 30 weeks pregnant hence we are not in a position to travel back to our country. My company is applying for my L1b extention If my L1b extention is denied after my current I94 expiry, Can i apply for a visitor visa on medical grounds at that point of time and legally stay in US for 2-3 months so that i could safely take the baby to my country? Thanks Link to comment
rohang
You can ask ur company to file L1b extension just weeks before it is expiring. It generally takes 1-2 month to get reply. And even if its goes into RFE, it will give you more time. So in all you can easily get 2-3 months, if thats all you really want. Link to comment
Attorney_23
Ordinarily, a person must be in valid status to request that his/her status be changed to B2. Link to comment
