Photo not asked at Ottawa consulate

Can someone please let me know if submitting photos is required at the time of H1B stamping. I was not asked for a photo when the lady collected DS160.

They only ask for a photo if your picture on DS160 is not good. They didn't ask from me either.

how did the interview go? did they collect your PP ?

I was asked for photos and since i did not have recent photos i was asked to go out and take latest pictures

As long as you are able to upload photo successfully while submitting DS-160, you are fine. They will get your photo from that file.

what is the problem in carrying photos to the consulate keep atleast 4 to be on the safe side. I haven't seen a photo studio yet but heard there is one near by search web to find out.

If you already uploaded online while filling ds 160 then no worries you are good

This seems to be the correct explaination. As long as they don't see much variations in your online updated photo and your appearance you are fine
