H1BZGC Posted December 9, 2012 Report Posted December 9, 2012 Hi, I need to travel to India in Feb.So i am planning to go to Canada for H1 B stamping with Company A.I got an offer from Company B who wants to do H1b transfer in regular processing. Can i ask the Company B to start the process now and in mean while can i get my stamping done with Company A.So i can join the Company B after i come back from India in March. When do think the best time to kick off transfer process from Company B....Is it now or...is it after my H1b Stamping or ..is it after i come back from India ...Please advice me.
h1hopes Posted December 10, 2012 Report Posted December 10, 2012 If company B is bigger more reputed then stamping with B will be easier if admin process or other issues arise while you are in Canada. If company A is better get stamp with company A. If company B is ok and your financial situation allows then you can request company B to process visa using premium process, as far as I know if candidate pays the premium processing fees its fine (fine=Ok with USCIS, but double check with company immigration dept.)
onemoresuggestion Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 Bottom line there should be no problem in getting it stamped with Company A and Moving to Company B later. You can get the visa stamping done with a company A as long as its validity exists. An individual can change to another employer who has filed and got the I797 approval. At a time it is permissible to hold multiple H1Bs with multiple employers.
