Does H1B Petition Number Change after filing an Amendment?

Hi ,

Does H1B Petition Number Change after filing an Amendment? ie. after Amendment is approved?

My H1-B started in October 1st 2012. It expires after 09/30/2015 .I'm planning for a H1B Amendment as my job location has been changed.

1. After filing Amendment does my Petetion number change on I-797A?

2. Does my h1B start date and End Date change after Ammendment on I-797A?

3. Does the H1 B reciept Date and Notice Date Change in I-797A

Below are the inline comments according to my experience,

1. After filing Amendment does my Petetion number change on I-797A? : Yes, It will change

2. Does my h1B start date and End Date change after Ammendment on I-797A? : Mine reamained the same. It didn't change but start date did change. It will be your approval date.

3. Does the H1 B reciept Date and Notice Date Change in I-797A: Yeah the receipt date and notice date will change.
