I filed for my mother's 1-130 as a US citizen. what are the other documents required for the filing so that I can speed up the process with out wasting much time once , I get the approval.

I am putting a list as per my understanding .. Forum please add to this

1. DS 3032 . ( I am getting this signed by my mother and send to me )

2. DS 260 ( Same as above )

3. I- 864

4. I-864 A

My question

1. My mother is a widow and does not have a marraige certificate . In that case will the orginal death certicate of my Dad help.

2. Birth certificate not in place . will an affidavit help.

3. I am out of job . completed my assignment in Nov 2012. I plan to travel to india to take care of my mother for some personal issue. I will be out of work by the time the I-130 is appoved and other doc get submitted and i file for the 260 along with the affidavit of support. Can my wife a file a i-864A as a joint sponsor

If you are caring for your mother because of her health, you need to investigate the cost of health insurance and care in the US. In addition, the potential for becoming a public charge can result in a denial (not will but may).

Friends find it far cheaper to hire personal care for elderly and ill in home country.
