terminator762002 Posted December 5, 2012 Report Posted December 5, 2012 I heard about the H1B visa being included in the categories of visa waived for an interview in India. Could anyone provide more information on this and would this ease the uncertainties surrounding foreign travel of H1B employees

maverick41 Posted December 5, 2012 Report Posted December 5, 2012 The drop box service does not guarantee a visa issuance and in some instances you may be required to attend an interview. That being said, this is definitely a step in the right direction. Getting interview dates in India is a hassle and this will make it easier for those of us who plan to renew our visas in India.
tusharvk Posted December 5, 2012 Report Posted December 5, 2012 interview waiver is applicable if one meets certain criteria. You might google h1b visa interview waiver india and you can find the information. There do not seem to be a lot of cases of people having done this as this was introduced very recently.
