Esha1982
Got laid off recently due to corporate downsizing, but will be on payroll till the 31st of December 2012. How can I be on H1B status after that (till I find a job) ? My husband is on F1 visa. Should I convert to F2 Visa right now? I have approved H1B visa for 3 years. How difficult will it be to convert back to H1B visa from F2 visa ? Please help. Link to comment
JoeF
You are not on H1 once you are laid off. You either need to find a new job before your current one ends, or you need to change to some other status. F2 would be a possibility in your case. Link to comment
SameerH1Bworker
Once you're laid off, you're Out of status. My employer may help to transfer H1B. Contact me for their contact info, if you want to transfer H1B. Link to comment
