applying for canadian visa

I am thinking of going to canada the H1B Stamping in march/april. First step I wanna take is to know what documents that I need to present to Canadian visa office for canadian visa and what procedures to follow to obtain the same. Please help or post the link that has the information.

Its better to apply in person at NY or LA(whichever is near per convenience)
