Please help- 7th year H1 transfer with 140 receipt number

Hi

I have my I140 approved through company A and I am on my 7th year H1 B. I am planning to move to company B but company A is not providing copy of I140. Is receipt number sufficient for H1B transfer. Has anyone with the similar situation got the H1 transferred.

Please let me know , this will really help.
