Successful Visa Stamp on Nov 30th...

First of all thanks to all who directly & indirectly helped me through this forum. It's my turn to give some info about my interview

My interview is on November 30th 10:00AM.

I was staying in Day's Inn near to consulate just 5min walk. So I & 2 more friends been to consulate around 9 am. As usual after security check. we were directed to 20th floor where actual interview takes place.

There were lot of people (H1b, etc.. not sure) and it's very Congestive inside the consulate. On the day counter 2, 5 & 6 are alloted to H1b.

I was sitting opposite and away from counter 6 consulate but not directly in front of VO. I was listening to the interview in counter 6. She is old american lady. She was checking most of the important documents and taking enough time go through all the documents and very keen and informative.

The person before me, was almost had 10 min interview, he doesn't have client letter but brought email conversation from client and he was doing lot of mistakes and bit tensed and even forgot h1b petition papers(i think so). luckily he was approved. => Never lose hopes, have faith in yourself.

After that it's mine.

Here how it was......

Me: Gud Mrng Mam, How are you? (I gave my pp,160 &797)

VO: gud mrng.

VO: U did masters.

Me. Yes Mam from XXXX.

VO: when u graduate.

Me; i said wrong year, later she asked me again. I realized and corrected.

VO: wat is ur major.

Me: computers.

VO: Is XXXX ur employer?

Me: Yes.

VO: how long u hav been working for your employer?

Me: close to a year.

VO: what do u do>

Me: Systems Analyst.

VO: who is ur end client.

VO: How long u been working for them?

VO: you have client letter.

Me: I gave.

VO: Can I see ur paystubs.

Me: I gave them only last 7 months.

She took time to go through all my stubs.

VO: I see ur pay keeps varying every mnth.

Me: No mam. I hav constant pay XXX evert month. the varying amount is my client appreciation.

she was not convinced.

she was checking all numbers on my paystub and asked about taxes on it.

Later

VO: can I see your h1b.

Me: I gave her my one month bank statement. (this was a mistake)

She took it and asked is this your bank statement & had glance over it.

she again went through my paystubs.

VO: I see some thing wrong with paystub& can I have all your paystubs.

Me: I gave the remaining.

She checked all and asked few more questions on paystub.

Accordingly I answered.

I handed my h1b.

She was convinced some what.

Here I know I would get visa. Later questions are just are formal.

VO: whom did you work before this employer.

VO: I see your started working only for 2 months( she mean on h1)

Me: sorry mam, I did not get you.

VO: 2 months you were on h1

Me: yes mam.

VO: So before that you worked on OPT.

Me: yes mam.

VO: what is ur employer location.

VO: where do you work.

VO: how do u go to work.

Me: I go by car, hardly 15 min.

VO: YOUR VISA IS APPROVED. collect your...!!!

Me: Thank U mam. U hav wonderful day & Happy holidays.

VO: thank you

Through out interview, Her voice so low. I have to lean over the window to hear what she is saying. Please listen carefully what she is asking.
